The 1987 Fantasy Olympics Calendar

This calendar brings about a sea-change: the 1978 calendar used two specially painted pieces but apart from that all the calendars had used existing artwork reused from other sources. This is the first calendar only featuring artwork painted specifically for the purpose and, as a consequence, to a consistant theme. You might query why this was issued in 1987 when the next Olympic year was 1988 which probably explains why, in some countries, this calendar was actually issued for that year.
