Keepsake Collections

The Keepsake Collection series by Comic Images consist of sealed packs containing seven or eight cards:

Each set is individually numbered and limited to, in Boris' case, 2500 packs.

There are four Boris sets in the series:

Beasts (1993)

In addition to the standard seven cards, this set also includes a Spectroscope Bonus Card. This is a 2.5 x 3.5 inch card printed with a circular Fresnel-pattern refractive backdrop on cloth stock. The background appears to float some distance behind the image, and although it is an attractive effect, it doesn't scan well.

Unlike the other sets featured here, this cover has a transparent panel in the centre so that you can see whichever card happens to be in the front (in this case, Camunda.)

Future Worlds (1997)

Given that the theme of this set is Future Worlds I must say that I find the choice of cover image a bit odd but there is no reason why you should agree with me!

Just below the right corner of the main image there is a white space which looks as though it might have been intended for the set's serial number. It has however been left blank, the serial instead being printed in the white margin at bottom left of the cover.

The only other thing I'll say is that I (and here I'll admit to having a smug grin) own set '0005'.
