Published in 1991 this book has, in addition to a Boris cover, 14 interior pen and ink illustrations. The original large paperback (and, presumably, the hardback version too) has good quality paper which shows the illustrations well, something that can't be said about the standard sized paperbacks with their coarser paper.
You will see that the paperback cover features a dragon (it also appears on the spine) whereas the hardback cover is dragon-free. The dragon is artistic licence on Boris' part - the book doesn't feature any dragons.
The illustrations are un-captioned.
