This is a book of artwork which abandons many of the restrictions usually imposed for commercial artwork. Very little garmentry is to be found here, and the mood is more erotic than elsewhere in Boris's work.
There is introductory text by Doris, his first wife, and text by Boris interspersed with pencil drawings. The remainder of the book is full-page artwork, with free verse by Doris on the facing pages. There are no page numbers and no titles anywhere: those used here were obtained from other sources.
At the time of writing there are two other versions of Mirage. The other editions all contain the artwork shown on this page but have been expanded by the inclusion of some of Boris' other, existing, artwork (including the expurgated Totem Pole.)
